Improving outcomes for dementia care

Improving outcomes for dementia car

About the Happiness Programme

The Happiness Programme is supporting care home owners like you to deliver incredible activities to care venues and with it, bring many benefits to residents, their friends and families, as well as your care teams.

The interactive light technology, powered by a small, lightweight and mobile projector, provides care teams with an engaging activity that can deliver improved care outcomes – reducing falls, reducing the use of PRN medication and aiding weight gain.

These improved care outcomes lead to better resident well-being as well as significant savings from the costs associated with these outcomes.

Together with a structured programme of training and support the Happiness Programme supports people with cognitive challenges and our games are specifically designed for people living with dementia, learning disabilities and those in long-term rehabilitation.

The Happiness Programme is available as a flexible, monthly subscription, with no minimum term or contract and is being used by small, independent care providers as well as some of the largest care groups in the UK.

We spoke to Bobby and Zoe, two members of the Rosebery Manor team, part of the Signature group, to find out how they were using the Happiness Programme for palliative care.

We spoke to the activities team at Southlands Place, part of the Caring Homes group – Ginny Hayes, Louise Froud and Aimee Le Beau – and heard incredible stories from one non-verbal resident who rediscovered his voice to another who’s challenging behaviour is managed through magic table 360 sessions.
