Social-Ability press release 27 January 2022

John Ramsay, the Managing Director of Social-Ability, a social venture utilising sensory equipment to enhance the lives of residents in care homes, particularly people suffering with dementia and its various forms, has spoken out about the care sector needing greater support in light of the rolling back of the Government’s ‘Plan B.’

Highlighting the increased need for therapies to help create better outcomes for people suffering with dementia, and assisting families to interact with their loved ones, John has been quoted as saying on Sky News today:

“We desperately need the care system to prioritise therapies that consistently deliver opportunities for social activity, whether it be communicating with loved ones via video chat, or playing interactive games with the rest of their care home community.  Whether restrictions return or not, this will hugely improve the quality of life” referring to people suffering with dementia.
