The Care Quality Commission has set out a new strategy for a more data-driven approach in health and care sector regulation.

The change intends to make the CQC a smarter regulator, but care home owners will need to be prepared for new systems coming into place.

The Institute of Health and Social Care Management (IHSCM) has launched its People Plan for Social Care in the House of Lords, after initial discussions dating back to August 2021.

The Plan aims to bolster the public understanding of the social care sector, maintaining momentum which started with the pandemic.

Attendance allowance is an often overlooked source of funds.   If you or someone you know is aged 65 or over and has developed a need for care and support that has existed for 6 months or longer, and whose care and support is not fully funded by the NHS then additional income which is non means tested and non taxable could be available.
